Ironman

This afternoon (after a four hour after Christmas sale shopping spree--for things we needed and have been waiting for the sale to buy) Landon and I watched the Ironman Championship race in Hawaii. It was pretty cool.

But why were we watching the Ironman Championship race, you ask?

Well, because Landon is signed up for the Cour d' Alene Ironman in Idaho in June. He's been training for a few months now, pretty much since we finished the marathon in October, and it's intense. And time consuming. But, I'm so excited for him. And so proud of him for even signing up--I'm probably going to be crying like a baby when he actually crosses the finish line in June, especially after seeing what it's like from watching the championships today.

What about me, you ask? Am I doing the Ironman too?

Ummm, no. I would be a nervous wreck from here until June if I were.

I'm planning to do an Olympic distance triathlon in April when Landon does his Half-Ironman in preparation for June. And then I'm going to help and support and cheer on my husband as I vacation in Cor d'Alene, where I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous.

Just thought I'd share a little of what's new with us, to break up all the Christmas posts.
