My dad is a marathoner!! :)

A few years ago my dad started running with some friends from church and has done some smaller races, up through a half marathon. Today he ran the Houston marathon and did AWESOME!! We are so excited for him and SO proud!!

We jumped in the car at 7am and headed out to mile 6, which was in our neighborhood, to cheer my dad on with our signs.

We cheered for a lot of people running by and then...

Landon finally spotted him!!

Go Dad!!

Then, we met up with him at mile 15--

Still going strong, he smiled and waved when he ran by, but I was too busy cheering that I didn't get a picture!

From there we jumped in the car and hauled it over to where we had agreed to meet him and give him a banana right before mile 20.

Once again, Landon was the first to spot him and he directed him over to where we were standing.

And, after a quick shirt changed, a half a banana and

a quick kiss for my mom,

he was on his way again with only 6 miles to go!!

Then, Landon drove us right over to the finish line--only 1/4 of a mile left to go!!
He did SO good!! He ran is WAY faster than I ever could!!

The finish line is in sight!!

He is a marathoner!!

Way to go, Dad!!
