I know I've written about it here before, but the small group that Landon and I belong to is SUCH a blessing in our lives. There's 8 couples (and occasionally more) that we meet with at least once a month. Sometimes we just hang out and eat and play games. Sometimes we get out and serve together. Sometimes we find fun things around town to go to. Right now we're in the middle of a six week Bible study on the parables. No matter what we do though, it's always a good time--fun conversation, a lot of laughs, good conversation and people that you can be real with, which is priceless. Most importantly though, much more than all the good food and good laughs, is the encouragement that this group of friends is to us--God always seems to use them in just the right way to encourage us in our faith and our marriage and to remind us of just how lavish His love for us is. We are so grateful for their friendship and hope that this is a group we continue to walk through life with.

hanging out at the Blackburn's house--Brandon giving the instructions for dinner

there is NEVER a shortage of food, haha!

part of the group hanging out in the living room during dinner--the Blanks, the Manges', the Semaneks, the Blackburns and the Johnsons

our dinner partners--the Fishers and the Comettis--Raleigh hates to have his picture taken, so I make it my mission to get at least one of him every time we see them...don't worry, I'll catch him unaware later :)

Aha--caught Raleigh while he wasn't paying attention!

relaxing after dinner and, getting ready to begin the study

For dessert we served up the other Tres Leches cake we made, since we had to sample the first one...a few times...you know, to make sure it was good and all.

And, because I was taking pictures, Ben so graciously helped Landon put the cherries on the pieces of cake and serve it up.

This one was delicious too--and it all got eaten, thank goodness. We really didn't need to have any more at our house, haha!

But, as delicious as the cake (and the rest of the food!) was, compared to the rest of the night--the fellowship, the Bible study, the friendships--it truly was just the icing on the cake!
