Run For Their Lives

A couple of days ago I wrote a post about how running changed my life.  And it did.  It changed my outlook on life and what I could do and, in a lot of ways, my outlook on myself.

Now, Landon and I are wanting to run to change someone else's life.

In about 3 weeks, October 29th and 30th, we're doing a Run For Their Lives Relay.

We'll be meeting up with 14 other runners and running a relay run from Dallas to Conroe, Tx.  We'll each be running 6 legs of 5 miles a piece, running as a team for 240 miles straight.

And, we'll be running for the sole purpose of freeing kids from slavery, because just a few hundred dollars can literally change a child's life forever--it can give them their childhood, their life, back.

As a team, the 16 of us are trying to raise at least $5,000.

As a couple Landon and I are trying to raise at least $500, enough to free one child still out on the lake.

If you have a minute, please consider watching the short 2 minute video below about the children in Ghana and the work that Mercy Project is doing.

And, if you would like to donate to this work and help change a child's life forever, you can go to www.mercyproject.net .  Even the smallest donation will help to change one of their lives.
