I'm not freaking out as much as I thought I would be, probably because there's so much else going on in our lives right now.
My left shoulder still hurts when I swim, and then the next day also when I push it too hard, which apparently I did yesterday. That kinda makes me nervous for the swim, but I know I can at least finish the 1.2 miles, even if it is painful.
I'm praying for nice weather on race day, but as of right now, it looks like the high is going to be in the mid eighties. I'm thankful that it's the eighties and not the nineties, but it's still gonna be hot for the run.
Speaking of the run, should I be freaking out that the longest run that I've done in this training period is 9 miles? I'm not really, but there's a part of me that feels like I should be.
The peak week in my training program, where I have the longest run and bike, fell on our moving weekend, so I was packing and unpacking instead of running and biking, ha! I did a pretty long run and bike the next week, but didn't want to push too hard this close to the race.
I'm so thankful to Landon, who has been doing all of my long bikes with me on Saturday mornings, even though he's not training right now for a race, because goodness knows, I would get myself SO lost riding around Houston (or Sugarland) for three hours!
Yesterday I went for a little four miler and, for the first time in a LONG time, the weather was not hot--it was GORGEOUS. So thankful for days like that.
And now, I've got 3 more shorter bike rides, 2 more shorter runs, 3 more swims, one more long run and one more long bike and then...it's race day!
I'm just looking forward to crossing that finish line...and praying that the seven or eight hours it takes me to get there aren't too painful, ha! :)
