PMT Week Two

Well, we've officially made it through week two of our pre marathon training! This week was a little rough because I just can't shake this cold I have and the congestion is kinda camped out in my chest, which makes, you know, breathing difficult. Anyway, we did it though. And this time I ran my 4 mile "long run" outside, instead of on a treadmill, which is big for me. I really need to start training outside, because it is so much harder for me than running on a treadmill--I guess because of the wind and slight elevation changes and all that good stuff. I did the four miles at school and some of my girls were outside having soccer practice while I was running. When they finished their practice, some of them took turns running a lap or two with me--it was cute. They made me laugh and made the laps go by faster, which was nice! I ended up running it at about a 9:30 pace, which was good for me.

On an unrelated note, I confess that lately I have been really intimidated by running with my husband, because he's so good and running has always been my thing, haha! BUT, from here on out, I am going to make myself get over it and not be nervous about running with him and not being able to keep up, because I really enjoy running with him and it's not like he minds waiting for me. Hopefully, by the time the marathon rolls around, I'll be able to keep up with him! Keep up the good work babe--I am so impressed by you and love that we are doing this together! Thanks for being so patient with me--both while we are running and when I get nervous beforehand! :)

Next week our long run is 5 miles--I love how this plan we're doing steps us up week by week, because if you would have told me a month ago that I could run 5 miles, I would have just laughed. But, we've been able to do everything so far, miles wise, so hopefully the 5 miles won't be too painful on Sunday! :)
