Welcome to the family...

A couple of days ago, we received a letter from Children, Inc., one of the organization through which we sponsor kids. First was Miguel, who is now graduated and on his own and working. Then, when Miguel graduated high school and turned 18 and got a job, he asked that his sponsorship be transferred to another child at the orphanage where he lived, so little Santiago entered our lives. And then, we received a letter last week saying that another organization, local in their city in Paraguay, wanted to sponsor Santiago, which is definitely a good thing for him.

So now, we meet the newest little child who I hope to one day meet from Casa Blanco, a little orphanage in Paraguay. Gabriel. Isn't he precious?? His story though just breaks my heart though. A few years ago his mom left their family, leaving his dad to raise him and his two siblings all alone. His father has a job, but makes such a small amount of money each day that he just couldn't take care of all of the children. So, he brought Gabriel to Casa Blanco, an orphanage by their house. He's been there a few months. At his age there's know way he doesn't know what's going on or not remember his family and my heart just aches for him, and for his father, who had to give him up because he knew he couldn't provide all he needed.

So, meet Gabriel. The newest member of our family, another little boy whose picture just melts my heart and breaks my heart at the same time. If you think of it, please keep him in your prayers--prayers for peace and comfort and joy that only comes from God.
