Last Days...

...of Ironman training.  We had our last night swim for a while (probably!) out in the moonlight this week and Landon finsihed up his last taper week runs and bikes.  Now, we're all packed up and taking a half day off of work to head to the Woodlands for Ironman Texas 2011!  I still can't believe it's here. In a lot of ways, it's been a longer, harder road to get here than last year, and I'm so proud of Landon for all the hard work he's done and for sticking it out.

... of teaching TAKS (and, of teaching).  I pretty much feel like I've been teaching TAKS since the beginning of March, first with my own students and then tutoring the kids who didn't pass the first timer so that they could, hopefully, pass the second administration.  And, the second administration was yesterday.  I was so nervous for them--almost more so than the first time, because all the kids I pulled out for extra help worked so hard and were so nervous themselves!  I'm praying that they passed and don't have to go to summer school--and make it to high school! :)

And, on a totally different note, it hit me today that I have 8 1/2 days left of teaching, since we get the last Monday before schools' out off and I'm taking tomorrow off for Landon's race.  That is insane.  I'm so excited though, both for summer and at the thought of changing jobs to become a mom.

Aand now, starting May 22nd (right, babe? :)), we're moving on to our last days to prepare for little Aedan's arrival!

We've got a checklist of last, little things to do still, like putting things on the wall on the nursery, putting together the swing etc, shopping for a few last minute things, reading some books so we can maybe figure out what to do once, he's here. :)

aren't these little hand me downs from my mom and Landon's co worker sweet? :)  I can't wait to see him in them!

For now though, we're just trying to enjoy our last days and not wish them away, as we wait for the next part of life to end or begin.
