ACU Sports Hall of Fame

This past weekend my father in law was inducted into the ACU Sports Hall of Fame for his 17 years as the Head Athletic Trainer at ACU. So, we drove up for the weekend and enjoyed an awesome weekend of celebrating him--and enjoying being back in Abilene, which is always such a treat for us! :)

Friday night was the actual induction ceremony at the new Welcome Center at ACU, where he gave a speech and received his plaque. He had four tables full of people there to see him--family, friends, people he used to work with. Pretty cool.


Then, we spent all day Saturday enjoying ACU homecoming festivities--the parade, which he and Abagael were in, the game, which they ended up losing :( , and then dinner with the whole family that night--all of his sisters came in town for the weekend too.


Then, on Sunday morning, we got to see Pam and the kids, go to church at the Mission, which, no matter how long I've been gone, will always feel like home to me, and then eat lunch with Tim and Lindsey at Little Panda. It was the perfect ending to an awesome weekend!


Congrats again, Wes! You deserve it and we are so glad we could be there to celebrate with you!
